Charlottesville Moms has compiled a list of Fourth of July events for you and your family to help celebrate America’s birthday!

 

Patriotism in the Park:

Fireworks at McIntire Park begin at dark but gates open at 5 PM. There will be plenty of kid’s activities including bounce houses and obstacle courses, food trucks, and much more! There is free parking and free shuttles that will begin transporting at 4:45 PM.

Charlottesville High School: 1400 Melbourne Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22901
Former Kmart parking lot: 1801 Hydraulic Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901
Handicap/Pregnant Visitors: Brooks Family YMCA – 151 McIntire Park Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22902

 

Carter Mountain Orchard

Carter Mountain Orchard is open all day from 9 AM- 9 PM.  There will be family- friendly games, hayrides in the afternoon until dusk and live music starting at 3 PM- 9 PM. Carter Mountain Orchard will not be setting off their own fireworks, but you can enjoy the view of fireworks happening around Charlottesville!

 

Annual Fourth of July Celebration in Scottsville

The Town of Scottsville has a day full of events!  The Town Parade starts at 9 AM.  There will be a petting zoo from 1-3 PM.  Live music will be from 5-9 PM and fireworks will start at dusk!

 

Red White Blue in Greene: 

The parade in Stanardsville starts at 5:30 PM. There will be live music, food trucks, children’s games, and a fireworks display at William Monroe High School Football Field from 5-10 PM.

 

57th annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony @ Monticello: 

If you’re looking for a slice of history, Monticello is for you!  They are celebrating Independence Day from 9 AM- 12 PM.  Unfortunately, the Jeffersonian Open House walk-through tour is sold out, but this free event is a must-see! *It is recommended to reserve the shuttle prior to arriving*

 

Independence Day Concert & Celebration @ James Monroe Highland :

Enjoy Highland and free access to grounds all day on July 4!  Enjoy family games and activities from 11 AM- 4PM and a free concert 2-4 PM!
